Whether you’re a teen or a bit more mature, the selfie obsession is real. I know from experience, the perfect selfie is not easy to achieve and, as I think we can all agree, the magic is in the editing. I went exploring for the best mobile apps for taking and editing selfies, and I came across a website that had a list of the top 10 selfie apps. I thought “why not?” and decided to explore some of them – turns out, there are a few really great ones on the list! I’ll link the site here so you can check it out yourself.
List of Top 10 Apps For Taking Selfies
Finally, selfies no longer take hours to perfect. I can add filters and effects designed specifically for the human face; I can even add makeup effects, adjust my skin tone, and reduce blemishes all at the same time. It’s truly incredible and I think you’ll love how you look, so you’ve got to check these out.
Get Your Glam on with YouCam Makeup
YouCam Makeup lets you add foundation, lipstick, and blush to your selfie. If you, like me, love Disney princesses and want their makeup looks, you can take makeup from your favorites like Belle and Cinderella and put them right on your selfie. It’s so much fun and my little sister loves it too! If you just want to add makeup to certain parts of your face, you can limit what areas are edited; add a little something to just your eyebrows or lips.
From what I’ve read, it appears that some users have found that there is a bit of a lag when using the app camera. I, personally, have not noticed this to be irritating or a distraction. So long as you don’t mind waiting a couple of extra seconds for the image to load, you really shouldn’t be bothered.
Experiment with Stickers Using Camera360
Camera360 allows you to choose from tons of interesting filters and cartoon effects to make each image more fun and vibrant. You even have the opportunity to use moving stickers on your photos. Plus, you can edit videos and add images and stickers to them as well. Camera360 is especially fun for taking selfies because you are able to make yourself look a little more alive by adding makeup and changing the way your eyes, skin, and lips look, regardless of age.
In the process of changing the light and the brightness filters on the app, sometimes the brightness doesn’t look exactly the way I want it to. I’ve found that, when editing selfies, I need to pay extra attention when editing brightness to ensure I’ve got the look that I want because it can occasionally be a bit fickle.
Perfect Your Skin with BeautyPlus
I love BeautyPlus because, finally, I can take all the stress out of photo editing and creating the perfect selfie. I don’t have the greatest skin, so I was amazed when I discovered that I can perfect my skin by erasing any blemishes or dark spots that show up in my pictures. There is even a feature that lets you change the color of your eyes without having to wear annoying contacts to achieve a different color. Not to mention, you can give yourself a glamorous tan to make people think you’ve been out in that summer vacation sun.
I have noticed that when I’m trying to save the edited photo on my phone it sometimes takes a while for the photo to save. I personally think it’s still totally worth it, but you may want to keep this in mind if you happen to be in a time crunch.
Looking great in a picture has never been easier which is something I never thought I would say. It turns out, making selfies fun can be as simple as adding filters and stickers – all in just the push of a button. If you’re looking to up your selfie game but you’re not sure how I can’t recommend enough that you check these apps out.
